Children’s workshop “Musiche dal Mondo”

Children’s workshop “Musiche dal Mondo”

Giulia Cavicchioni

Giulia is a musician (violin, mandolin and guitar), graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Bologna in Art and Discipline of Music and Performing Arts.

In 2007, in collaboration with the Capuchin friars of Fossano (CU) who work in Mindelo (Cape Verde), Giulia founded a school for street children and for the training of music teachers. The collaboration, still alive, led to the opening of five centres.

Giulia is a teacher, manager and artistic director of the Baule dei suoni cultural association of Albese con Cassano (CO), founded in the late 1980s with the aim of bringing children, teenagers and adults closer to music through a new approach to music education, where the discovery and study of Italian popular tradition and world music proceed hand in hand with sharing and inclusion.

Giulia is the director of the extraordinary Musica Spiccia orchestra, made up of about thirty musicians of all ages who participated in numerous festivals, have various collaborations in the field of dance theater and a rich record production.

Giulia works constantly in schools and other associations, holding workshops for children and teacher training, between Italy and Cape Verde.

Giulia has been teaching our workshops since 2021.
