Marcello Peghin

Graduated in guitar at the Adria Conservatory, in 1994 Marcello won the international improvised music competition in Poitiers, France with the Tangram trio.

Marcello collaborated with the most representative musicians of the Sardinian and international panorama, with whom he holds concerts all over the world. Among them: Enzo Favata, Elena Ledda, Mauro Palmas, Gavino Murgia, Riccardo Lay, Salvatore Maiore, Gilberto Gil, Enrico Rava, Dino Saluzzi, Antonello Salis, Paolo Fresu, Trilok Gurtu, Omar Sosa, Miroslav Vitous, David Liebman, Anthony Bowers, Tony Scott, Tuvana Sainko, Ilaria Pilar Patassini, Chamber Orchestra of Sardinia, Rigel Quartet, Daniele di Bonaventura.

Marcello plays in over 50 discography recordings, amongst them “Goldberg Variations” which he transcribed for guitar and Bach’s first book “The Well-Tempered Clavier“.

In 2017 his composition “Chi salverà le rose?”, soundtrack of the homonymous film by Cesare Furesi, was nominated for the Golden Globe and won the prize at the “Santa Marinella Film Festival” as best soundtrack for the Cinema section.

Marcello has been a teacher of our workshops since the first editions.
